The skeleton of the “T-Rex” at this price… and a picture showing its size compared to humans

Next April, Switzerland will witness an auction for the sale of a 67-million-year-old T-Rex dinosaur skeleton, in the first sale of a similar artifact in Europe, the Kohler house, which will organize the auction, announced Saturday.

The auction house said the skeleton, dubbed “Trinity”, will be sold at an auction in Zurich on April 18.

The height of the skeleton is 9.3 meters, and it will be offered at an estimated price of between 6.5 and 8.7 million dollars, according to the auction guide.

However, the official in charge of the natural history artifacts, Christian Link, confirmed to “Agence France Presse” that “the estimated value of Trinity is very low.”

The auction house noted that “Trinity is one of the most beautiful T-Rex skeletons ever,” noting that “it was well preserved and brilliantly restored.”

She emphasized that the auction of “Trinity” represents “the first sale in Europe and the third in the world of a complete T-Rex skeleton of exceptional quality.”

And the “Kohler” house touched on a study published in 2021 in the “Nature” magazine, which reported that 32 skeletons of “T-Rex” dinosaurs, one of the largest predators ever, were found around the world.
