The wait becomes more and more feverish. In a few hours or a few days, the coveted GTA 6 will be revealed to the world. But what about the map? In terms of immensity, can we expect a revolution?
GTA 6 arrive !
After an endless wait and rumors in all directions, the sixth episode of the Grand Theft Auto saga will soon be revealed to the whole world. No need that everyone, right now, is on the edge to discover Rockstar’s next blockbuster. GTA 6 will in fact define the publisher’s strategy for the coming decade and it’s a safe bet that we will still see remastered versions on the next generation of machines. For now, we will already wait to see what this sixth episode looks like. From edition to edition, the saga has offered us landscapes as far as the eye can see and it is therefore legitimate to think that this new opus will hit very hard on this point. It must be said that technology, since the advent of GTA V in 2013, has seriously evolved and we can therefore expect (at least, we hope) stunning graphics and a universe as rich as it is varied. The other point that must be emphasized is the very nature of open worlds. The latter, over the years, have gained in presence and the approach glimpsed in an Elden Ring has undoubtedly given ideas to the designers of GTA.
GTA, Red Dead, même combat ?
Generally speaking, the maps in GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption are roughly the same size. And the real strength of Rockstar’s designers is being able to create worlds of incredible richness, but with completely different themes. GTA is modern and takes place in a contemporary era where Red Dead is a stunning immersion into the Wild West. There is both an impression of grandeur, but also of density. We can therefore hope that GTA 6 will be, at least, at least as vast as that of the previous episode. Or rather, we could. Because according to information circulating, the GTA 6 map would be smaller than GTA 5 to be richer in details, but above all scalable! Therefore, we can expect a vast, but not gigantic, universe with lots of things to do and areas that can be added over time. Will that be enough to convince players? As far as you are concerned, do you prefer a smaller, but very dense map, or a very large map, even if certain sectors are emptier?
