Dataminer under the nickname DzXAnt22 presented screenshots of the map from the test version Project Rene – The Sims 5 is hidden behind this code name.
On the plans with the map you can see an urban area and several streets in their “raw form”, where buildings, roads, cars and trees are located.
Apparently, there will be a river on the general map of the city, while the screenshots with details are associated with the “red” zone of the map, where the test took place. All the details were taken from the “leaked” build of the game, which is “more than a year old.”
When creating the map itself, the authors, judging by the data in the files, were inspired by Paris.
The user noted that the game in this form runs at approximately 30 FPS on his smartphone model Samsung Galaxy S9. Earlier, by the way, it was reported that the mobile version of the game might be released earlier than the console version. The performance of the new product (in general) was called good.
In addition, there are no hints in the files regarding the ability to travel to other locations, so the user assumed that the game will introduce the concept of an open world that works in real time.
At the same time, in the comments they mentioned that the test was focused on the customization system and compared what they saw with the tech demo – the testers had the opportunity to build objects and the like, but it’s difficult to call it a “game”.
In the past, the authors of the new product discussed that they wanted to add multiplayer to it. So far, The Sims 5, however, does not have an exact release date – the game, by the way, can work on a shareware model.
