Organized by the Cultural Salon and the Environment Council, the Heritage Silk Factory in the town of Qobayat hosted the film Mystère by Denis Imbert, which was produced in 2021 and has not yet been shown in cinemas in Lebanon, in cooperation with the French Institute in Lebanon and with the “Cinema Betadoor” project. The mobile Caravane, who in the summer toured all regions showing films in the open air.
The French film tells the story of a young girl who withdraws and stops speaking following her mother’s death. When she moves with her father to the mountainous region of Cantal in France, and during a walk in nature, the girl receives a gift from a shepherd, which is a metaphor for a small dog she met and loved, whose name is Mystère. The strength of the relationship between the child and the animal brings the child back to the love of life, and she speaks out once more. But soon we discover that this dog is nothing but a small wolf and we are in a village where the herds are frequently attacked by wolves, and some owners of the herds demand that they work to exterminate the wolves, but, despite the strict laws that prevent a wolf from being raised in a house and the hardness of the hearts of wolf hunters, the girl can She triumphs over the wonderful strong relationship she had with this beautiful animal, in the splendor of the mountainous landscapes of the Cantal region.
