A member of the Shura Council, Dr. Nasih Al-Baqami, confirmed that this system was presented at its time, and was presented by a group of members of the Shura Council in the last session, and its objectives were to organize the process of collecting the reconciliation amount for retribution, as well as assessing the compensation by setting a certain limit, and regulating the mechanism for paying the amount of reconciliation, Raising the level of awareness among members of society, and explaining the importance of pardon for the sake of God. Al-Baqmi added: “The provisions of the system are applied to everyone who has been subjected to a legal judgment of retribution in the life and below, and the victim’s family agreed to pardon in exchange for compensation.”
