On May 27, a 45-year-old Italian stabbed his 28-year-old partner several times in the Spanish seaside resort of Torremolinos. The unfortunate died. The man fled but was arrested six hours later.
Taken to the police station, he saw a painting on the wall with the faces of missing people, including that of Sibora Gagani, a woman who had been missing since 2014. The man then spontaneously confessed that he had killed her at the time, report “The country”. The young woman, an Italian of Albanian origin, had moved with her partner to Spain in 2011. Shortly following breaking up with him in 2014, she disappeared on July 7 of that year.
Use of X-rays
Her companion then explained to the family that she had left without telling them where she was going and the police released images of Sibora Gagani in 2015 to find her, without success. The man therefore ended up revealing that the body of the 22-year-old young woman at the time had never left the apartment they occupied. He explained to the police that following killing her, he dissolved her body in acid and locked the remains in a wooden box which he walled up.
The police came to the scene and drilled holes in the wall to put in cameras, but nothing came of it. Last Tuesday, they used an X-ray machine which allowed them to locate the crate. After breaking the wall, they indeed found human remains in the crate, which they sent for analysis and confirmation that it was indeed Sibora Gagani.
