The Sharjah Book Authority, in cooperation with the Sharjah Center for Voluntary Work, has opened registration for volunteers in the activities of the 42nd session of the Sharjah International Book Fair, which will be organized from November 1 to 12 at the Expo Center Sharjah, in an opportunity that allows young people to participate effectively in the success of the exhibition and serving its audience. And acquire additional skills through volunteer work.
The Authority sent an invitation to those wishing to volunteer from the age groups 18-60 years to register until the 25th of this month.
The Authority announced that volunteers who have skills that enable them to be creative will be accepted in supervising celebrations, supporting and guiding exhibition visitors, assisting those in charge of publishing houses, and cooperating with other work teams, such as the technical support team and the financial resources team.
Volunteers will be partners in the success of the exhibition’s activities, through prior knowledge of its programme, halls and activities, and being prepared to provide visitors with information, dates and locations for organizing sessions, workshops and artistic and interactive performances, and assisting families, the elderly, children and people with special needs to facilitate their participation and benefit from the activities and access to the exhibition halls and pavilions.
Accepted volunteers will be asked to attend the exhibition throughout the 12 days of its organization, to contribute to providing a useful and enjoyable experience for all visitors to the exhibition.
