The Serbian Ministry of Defense reported that the Serbian armed forces had shot down an “enemy” drone in the country’s airspace.
“On the orders of the Serbian President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Aleksandar Vucic, this followingnoon units of the Serbian army neutralized a drone that was traveling from Kopaonik to Raska following it was discovered and tracked,” it said in a statement carried by the Russian “TASS” agency. She confirmed that “the drone was shot down using electronic warfare methods in the vicinity of the military installations of the Raska garrison.”
On Tuesday, Serbian President Vucic issued an order to destroy all enemy drones in the airspace over central Serbia.
On Tuesday, the Serbian armed forces were also put on high alert due to the situation in Kosovo and Metohija. Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vocevic explained that the situation in Kosovo and Metohija is tense, and the Kosovars began to implement the decision to ban Serbian license plates, noting that no one wants to fight, but “the army is ready to perform any task.”
