The sequel to “Bleach – The Thousand-Year Blood War” will be released in July 2023

Decidedly, being a fan of Bleach requires patience. But the date of the second course might hide important news for France.

Ten years is the time that fans of Ichigo, the hero of Bleach having inspired the anime, had to wait before finally seeing the rest of his adventures, produced by the Pierrot studio. The spread of The Thousand-Year Blood War debuted on TV Tokyo, Hulu and Disney+ last october 10, deploying a first course of the four planned, with a first salvo of 13 episodes. The grand finale of this first part has also brought together the last two episodes in one to mark the event. Perhaps, too, to pass the painful pill of the broadcast date of the second course… scheduled for July 2023.

Ichigo crazy

If fans around the world are going to be terribly disappointed by the necessary waiting time, it’s nothing compared to the situation of the French, who have been left behind by the return of the animated series. Indeed, since the beginning of October, it is the most total radio silence on the side of Disney + France, to the chagrin of potential spectators who do not understand this attitude. Does the broadcaster have the rights for France and, if so, why has it not opted for the simulcast? On this point, we already know that Disney+ often prefers to wait for the end of a series to offer all the episodes in one block. The end of the first course and the duration separating it from the second might therefore hide good news.

The misfortune of some…

Indeed, if Disney considers this first part as a whole, the channel might finally broadcast the episodes, or at least make them available to us. Because, paradoxically, Disney+ has programmed well Bleach – The Thousand-Year Blood War in other territories, such as the United States. We bet that this bad news for some, with a distant second arc, will finally be synonymous with deliverance for French fans whose nerves have been put to the test. On the other hand, if the broadcaster intends to wait for the “real” end of the anime, with such a slow pace between each of the four courses, in other words, it will be better to move on.
