This decision follows his police custody which began the previous week. The arrest of Ndella Madior Diouf comes following several reports concerning a nursery that she had created. These alerts, emanating from various sources, highlighted significant shortcomings in the management and safety of children hosted in the establishment.

According to information reported by L’Observateur in its Tuesday edition, new developments have emerged, reporting six deaths among infants in the Ndella Madior Diouf nursery. Originally, only two deaths were mentioned. The newspaper specifies that the victims are linked to renowned personalities (artists, presenter, minister, see the list).
All these child deaths were recorded last October, indicates the same source. The babies died in four different health establishments: Dalal Diam, Albert Royer, Samu Municipal and the Friendship Clinic. The Observer also reveals that “Ndella Madior Diouf signed the death certificates through his SOS Santé structure” and that one of his employees, the presenter El Sène from Saphir FM, was responsible for… the burial of the deceased babies.

The newspaper of the Futurs Médias Group reports that the latter was arrested and taken into custody by Urban Security. He thus joins his boss, arrested Thursday, as well as seven nannies and two nursery assistants, in turn incarcerated on Friday.
The “Keur Yeurmandé” structure was closed, and the forty-eight babies present there were evacuated to local health structures. The Observer indicates that investigators have begun the process of identifying the children’s parents.
