This is an exceptional performance that made it possible to recover 100% of arrivals in June and July 2019. This momentum of recovery is reflected in all the other indicators, including the number of overnight stays, which stood at a total of 3.8 million overnight stays for June and July 2022.
In terms of the sector’s foreign currency earnings, the latter generated 27.3 billion dirhams during the first half of 2022, i.e. an exceptional recovery rate of 81% of 2019, given the closure of borders during the first 5 weeks of the year. year 2022. The month of June alone represents approximately 25% of these receipts.
It goes without saying that our Moroccans residing abroad have greatly contributed to the revitalization of the summer period. Indeed, 1.4 million MREs joined the Kingdom during the month of July 2022, i.e. 100% of arrivals in July 2019.
