At 10:00 this Saturday, the second humanitarian flight, chartered by the Ecuadorian Government, landed with 209 passengers on board and around 30 pets evacuated from Ukraine. The plane that left Warsaw arrived at the Quito airport.

At the airport there are 18 international institutions and organizations to offer their support and dozens of relatives of young Ecuadorians.

Foreign Minister Juan Carlos Holguín reported, following the arrival of this second humanitarian flight, that 121 people left Ukraine in the last few hours. Compatriots who join those evacuated in Slovakia, Budapest and Romania. Therefore, they will prepare their return for next week.

In addition, he stated that the work to bring back the evacuated Ecuadorians will continue in the Foreign Ministry.

The first flight of Ecuadorians evacuated from Ukraine, made up of 248 people, arrived Friday followingnoon in March. The compatriots had an emotional reunion with their relatives following their dramatic departure from this country that is experiencing a strong conflict with Russia.
