After several favorable months, the second-hand car market kept its momentum in July, recording growth of 16.6%, to 57,594 registrations, announced Thursday the sectoral organization Traxio.
In July, the top-selling used car brands were Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes, Opel and Peugeot.
“Cumulative over the first seven months of the year, the increase amounts to +7.2%, i.e. 27,187 units more than in the same period in 2022, which nevertheless represents a decline of 18,659 units compared to to 2021 (-4.4%). The market is therefore developing favorably once more, but without however reaching the level of 2021, a more than favorable year”, comments Traxio spokesperson Filip Rylant, quoted in a press release.
