“Ukrainians continue to persistently and heroically fight for their free future and that of the entire democratic world. Everyone’s effort, every opportunity is important here. Therefore, the struggle on the communication and cultural fronts (exhibitions, film screenings, conferences, debates) also fulfills an irreplaceable function – it helps to focus and maintain attention on Ukraine,” the report quoted Seimas Vice-Chairman Paulius Saudargas as saying.
According to him, the events held in the Seimas will reiterate the commitment to be close to the Ukrainians and provide assistance as much as needed.
At noon, the Seimas Stained Glass Gallery will host the opening of the “Sculptures” photo exhibition of Ukrainian photographer Marta Syrko, the “Color of Steel” exhibition of painting art on war exhibits by the Ukrainian non-governmental organization “Samooborona” and the Ukrainian youth group in Lithuania.
The exhibition will be opened by P. Saudargas and Ukrainian Ambassador to Lithuania Petro Bešta.
On Friday followingnoon, the international forum “Your victory is our victory” will be held in the Assembly Hall of the Seimas on March 11. The Speaker of the Seimas Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen will welcome the participants of the forum.
In it, Lithuanian and Ukrainian soldiers will read reports regarding the realities of the war in Ukraine. The documentary “Culture vs War” will be held. History of the Ukrainian music group “Antitila” preview.
In the evening, open door hours are scheduled in the first chamber of the Seimas, where visitors will be able to view the above-mentioned exhibitions regarding the war that will be opened on Friday.
