The seaside rather than the effervescence of Doha: the Red Devils have chosen their hotel for the World Cup in Qatar

The Red Devils should finally abandon the Banyan Tree, a hotel located in the suburbs of Doha, for the seaside and the Hilton Salwa Beach Resort, a hundred kilometers further in Abu Samra, during the World Cup in Qatar. In any case, this is what our colleagues from the Latest news. The Portuguese selection had an option on this luxurious hotel with direct access to the beach, but the Seleção finally withdrew, potentially giving way to our national team.

Compared to the resort chosen initially, the Hilton Salwa Beach Resort offers more choices of activities outside the hotel. Organizing walks (especially on the beach) or bike rides will be easier in Abu Samra than in the effervescence of Doha. The hotel has, among other things, a spa, an aquatic amusement park and even direct access to the beach. An idyllic setting to recover between matches during the next World Cup which will be played in November and December. On the other hand, the Devils will have to travel more kilometers by bus (the majority of the stadiums are located in Doha) and they will not be able to enjoy the hotel for themselves, which was precisely one of the strong points of the Doha hotel.

Het Laatste Nieuws nevertheless specifies that even if the choice has been made, nothing has yet been signed.

Regarding the preparation of the World Cup, we already know that Roberto Martinez will call his selection on Monday, November 14 in Tubize while some players will still have championship matches the previous weekend. Nine days later, the Devils will begin their tournament once morest Canada (November 23). Between the two, Martinez wants to play a friendly match. But according to Laatste Nieuws, it should already be held in Qatar since the coach wants to arrive as soon as possible in the Middle East, namely the day following the arrival of the selection in Tubize.
