The RAF terrorist Daniela Klette was on the run for 30 years. A few days ago she was arrested in an apartment building in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The investigators are also on the trail of two of Klette’s former companions.

In the search for the two, the police searched another apartment in Berlin on Sunday evening. The measure in the Friedrichshain district is connected to the search for Ernst-Volker Staub and Burkhard Garweg, a spokeswoman for the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office told the German Press Agency. The “Bild” newspaper had previously reported.

Raids had previously taken place on Berlin’s Markgrafendamm in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district on Sunday. A police spokeswoman said two men were arrested. It was later announced that they were not the people they were looking for.

The emergency services had previously fired shots, the spokeswoman said. There were no injuries. According to the LKA spokeswoman, the operation began at around 7:30 a.m. in a commercial area on the corner of Markgrafendamm and Persiusstrasse. The Federal Criminal Police Office and the Berlin police were also involved. According to police, a total of 130 forces were deployed.

According to a DPA reporter, a total of four men and one woman were taken away during the operation. They have all now been released. This information has not yet been confirmed by the police.

Dust and cooking paths had disappeared like burdock over 30 years ago. All three belonged to the third generation of the former left-wing extremist terrorist organization RAF. They are also accused of a series of later cash-in-transit robberies, some of which involved the use of firearms and a rocket-propelled grenade. It was unclear whether the trio were together until Klette’s arrest. It is more likely that everyone lived their own lives and came together to commit crimes, said a spokesman for the responsible public prosecutor’s office in Verden recently.
