The search for growth leaders begins again

After the success of the previous editions, Growth Leader returns, the award dedicated to Italian companies that have had the highest turnover growth in the three-year period 2020-2023. In fact, the 2025 call for proposals for the initiative created by Sole 24 Ore and Statista (world leader in economic data and research) is online. Among the participating companies, between 400 and 500 best companies will be selected, which will be cited in a report published in the Sole 24 Ore, paper and online edition, in November 2024.

Being a “growth leader” is a public recognition that identifies companies with high potential, making them attractive in the market and in the eyes of customers, partners and financiers. To be able to apply, companies must have had a turnover of at least 100 thousand euros in 2020 and at least 1.5 million euros in 2023, they must be independent (for example, not part of a group or be an Italian branch of a other company), have tax domicile in Italy, satisfy requirements of integrity and good reputation, and have had predominantly organic growth.

To participate, simply register your application at this link by 12 July 2024. Each company must certify that the data transmitted is truthful and complete by sending a letter signed by the general manager, administrator or financial manager (it must be sent by email to Statista at leaderdellagrowth@statista.com always by July 12th). Participation is free. There is only a fee – optional – for the use of the prize graphics in case you want to use it in marketing and communication activities. All participants who have declared their turnover data, regardless of their inclusion in the final ranking, will have the opportunity to receive, as thanks for their participation, a 2-week test account on the complete Statista database, with data from over 18 thousand sources.

The latest ranking, that of 2024, brought to the attention of the business community 500 valuable companies, with a maximum average annual growth (CAGR) of 461% (compared to 433% in the previous edition), a minimum of 23% of development year on year. The two transitions underway, the digital one and the ecological one, have driven the Growth Leaders of the last two editions towards success. It is no coincidence that a large percentage of Italian companies with the highest growth rate in 2021 have focused on the twin transitions, both driven by generous state incentives and high customer demand. This explains the primacy – in the ranking created by Statista and Il Sole 24 Ore – of the energy efficiency, green building renovation and construction sectors. But the Italian green turning point does not thrive on superbonus alone. The growth of renewable and circular economy companies is also stable in the latest edition of the ranking.

The second transition, the digital one, also drove the growth of the 2024 Leaders. The leaders Parcop of Monte di Procida (Naples) are active in e-commerce – and therefore are riding the digital turning point as leaders – thanks to their B2B spare parts portal for the WiAutomation industry, the digital agency Bidberry of Pescara, in second place, the business travel platform BizAway based in Spilimbergo (Pordenone), the system integrator Keytech of Rome.
