After Saint-Étienne, it is the turn of the CinéCentre cinema in Dreux to deplore the brawls during the theatrical screening of the film Creed III. Since its release on March 1, Michael B. Jordan’s feature film has sparked strong reactions across France, as evidenced by the many videos of fights taken during the broadcast of the film circulating on social networks.

In response to these incidents, the Dreux movie theater announced, in a press release posted on Facebook, the deprogramming in theaters of Creed III. A decision taken “in order to preserve the well-being and comfort of our customers and our employees”, according to the cinema.
“We inform you that as of today we are stopping the screenings of the film Creed III due to several incidents of inappropriate behavior and contrary to our values”, assures the establishment in its press release.
And to add: “We are unfortunately not the only room to make this decision which we deplore.”
Since Sunday many brawls have been recorded across France during the screening of the film Creed III. In addition to Dreux and Saint-Étienne, two fights also broke out in Thionville (Moselle) and Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes) on Sunday, following which the police made one and two arrests, according to a police source quoted by AFP .
According to our colleagues from the New Republicanother brawl also broke out in the hall and then outside the CGR Deux-Lions cinema in Tours following the broadcast of Creed III. Le Figaro also identified a fight at the Pathé Quai d’Ivry in eastern Paris, between a spectator and a security guard during the film.
Already in 2019, the second part of Creed had caused several incidents in certain cinemas in France, in particular in the Paris suburbs in the Ciné Cité Rosny 2 cinema. In Lyon, a man had also received three stab woundsfollowing a dispute with other moviegoers over placement in the theater during the screening of Creed II.
