The sci-fi game Stellaris is getting a roguelike spin-off. reedus

Hardly anyone expected this, but the sci-fi 4X game Stellaris is heading in a whole new direction as Ghost Signal: A Stellaris Game, a spin-off of the epic roguelike strategy game, is announced.

What’s more, this game is made specifically for VR and will be coming to headsets very soon.

Developer Fast Travel Games said that Ghost Signal is “an action-packed virtual reality roguelike set in Paradox Interactive’s popular galactic universe.”

The game will immerse the gamer in a “vast ocean of stars”, where he will be the captain of the ship and will meet many alien creatures.

The player will have to research new species, as well as conduct their own research in several technological trees, in order to unravel the mysteries of these living creatures and their origin.

Like Stellaris, the new project looks very atmospheric and cosmically cold, although in this version of the famous universe you will directly participate in the battles. Moreover, you will not be bored: there are alien monsters the size of a planet, and there are small and nimble creatures.

Since this is a thoroughbred roguelike, this means that all maps will be procedurally generated randomly, and daily challenges and progress will be unlocked with each new playthrough.

On the official site there is already additional information about the game, which will be released in early 2023.
