A beaked whale was stranded on the sand of the Dutch village, but luckily for her swimmers managed to put her back in the water.
However, a woman took the opportunity to grab the animal and attempt to climb onto its back, local media reports. Those present quickly intervened to remove and reprimand the swimmer.
An investigation has been opened. The Dutch police said on Wednesday that they had found the author of the mischief: “We will talk to him”, said the police.
A total of three beaked whales were seen offshore. The Fondation SOS Dauphins organization said it did not know the reason for their presence: “They got lost. Maybe because of noise pollution or a human cause. Maybe they are sick.”
