Today, Saturday, the file of the Al-Dalwa bombing in Al-Ahsa, eastern Saudi Arabia, which killed 8 people and injured 9 others, was closed, as the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the execution of 81 people who embraced deviant thought, methods and other deviant beliefs, and among them were the participants in this terrorist attack, who are: Abdullah bin Saeed bin Ayed Al-Qahtani, Tariq bin Musaed bin Zaid Al-Mutairi, Khalid bin Zuwaid bin Qahtan Al-Anzi, Marwan bin Ibrahim bin Abdul Latif Al-Dhafar, Riyad bin Ahmed bin Ali Harbi, Bassam bin Nasser bin Ibrahim Al-Hamid, Fayez bin Ayyad Al-Rasheed and Ahmed bin Musaed bin Zaid Al-Mutairi – all of them are Saudi nationals. Accusing them of committing several crimes, including: shooting citizens in the village of Al-Dalwa in Al-Ahsa Governorate during the sacred month, which resulted in the killing of a number of citizens, including children, and wounding of others, killing two security men and wounding others, and securing weapons and ammunition for them.

Al-Ahsa, which was known for tolerance and fraternity among the groups of its society, turned into a field for a terrorist attack at the end of 2014 aimed at provoking sectarian strife. Four terrorists attacked the Husseiniya al-Dalwa at the height of the Ashura celebration (the tenth of Muharram), and the terrorist organization “ISIS” had opened with an explosion Al-Dalwa series of bloody operations that targeted places of worship and gatherings of safe civilians.

The Saudi Ministry of Interior achieved great success in dealing with the incident, as the identities of the perpetrators of the attack on the Al-Dalwa Husseiniya in Al-Ahsa were quickly revealed, and only 10 hours before the incident, 6 suspects were arrested in three cities: Shaqra, Al-Khobar and Al-Ahsa. The security services arrested 15 suspects, describing them as having a close relationship with the incident, which was intended to set off a sectarian crisis in Saudi society.
The security spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Major General Mansour al-Turki, said at the time that the perpetrators of the crime were four people, one of whom is a leader of a terrorist cell and is associated with ISIS. The accused were implicated in the cell, under the name of “lone wolf” operations, aimed at provoking sectarian strife, and targeting security men and residents, in implementation of the orders of the terrorist organization ISIS abroad, which prepared for the criminal cell weapons, chemical fertilizers for use in the manufacture of explosives, and technical services.
Those involved in the cell received orders to specify the target, the targets and the time of implementation, provided that the operation was in Al-Ahsa with the aim of fueling sectarian strife and implementing the agenda of the terrorist organization ISIS.
