Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received, on Saturday, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati in the capital, Riyadh, where they reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The two sides agreed on the importance of electing a president for Lebanon, and implementing the reforms that the Lebanese people and the international community aspire to, according to what was reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness on Lebanon’s security and stability, and the continuation of the humanitarian support provided by the Kingdom to the Lebanese people. Mikati expressed his thanks and constant appreciation for the Kingdom’s historical stances towards Lebanon and the Kingdom’s essential role in establishing Lebanese reconciliation and consolidating the peace phase following the approval of the National Reconciliation Document at the Taif Conference.
Mikati stressed the commitment of the Lebanese government to take all steps to prevent insulting the Kingdom and all Arab countries, especially the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
