Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Osama bin Ahmed Naqli, the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Egypt, published pictures with the Egyptian journalist, Wael Al-Ibrashi, who passed away, Sunday, at the age of 58 years.

The photos were published by the Saudi ambassador on his Twitter page, saying with a comment: “May God have mercy on the friend Wael Al-Ibrashi. He was elegant, friendly, cheerful, full of life and activity. Corona did not allow him to extinguish his glare.. Sincere condolences to his family, the Egyptian media family, and to sister Egypt in its loss, asking May the Almighty God replace his long suffering with illness with rewards and good deeds with his mercy and forgiveness.
El-Ibrashi was infected with the Corona virus in December 2020, and he remained in the hospital for at least 8 months before he was discharged from it.
Al-Abrashi had previously headed the “Sawt Al-Umma” newspaper and had many press writings, while many cases were brought once morest him during the era of former President Hosni Mubarak, the last of which was his accusation of inciting the non-implementation of the real estate tax law, in which he was acquitted.
