Like yearly, the Superintendency of Tax Administration (SAT) introduced the execution of an inspection program for 32,600 taxpayers, particularly retailers and companies of every type, beginning in July.
These are verifications on compliance with tax obligations in giant and small firms which can be devoted to the distribution and sale of magnificence objects, clothes, footwear, family home equipment and electronics, in addition to client shops.
The visits and verifications can be carried out by auditors and accountants from the Inspection Workplace, who will perform the next duties:
- Verify that the enterprise is registered with the SAT.
- Verification of issuance of On-line Digital Bill –FEL- (earlier than and through tax presence)
- Drafting administrative minutes when detecting tax non-compliance.
- Verification of Omission Declarations.
- Comparability of invoiced gross sales towards VAT declarations.
- Evaluation of purchases and imports made.
- Request for monetary info and verification of the noticed motion, in comparison with billing.
The respective sanctions can even be imposed, in accordance with the tax infractions dedicated, as established in Decree Quantity 6-91 of the Congress of the Republic, Tax Code).
It was reported that of the 32,600 visits which can be scheduled, 13,000 can be for the central area (Guatemala, Chimaltenango, Sacatepéquez and El Progreso); 7,400 for the western area (Quiché, Huehuetenango, Quetzaltenango, Totonicapán, San Marcos and Sololá); 6,500 for the northeastern area (Petén, Alta and Baja Verapaz, Izabal, Chiquimula, Zacapa and Jalapa); and 5,700 for the southern area (Retalhuleu, Suchitepéquez, Escuintla, Santa Rosa and Jutiapa).
The personnel of the Inspection Workplace put on an institutional badge in plain sight, in addition to a signed and sealed appointment.
