Currently, there is a National Hockey League team that is being talked regarding in the four corners of the hockey world, and really not for the right reasons.
Indeed, the San Jose Sharks are truly the laughing stock of the League at the moment.
They are 0-9-1 and have only scored ten goals in ten games, while allowing 45.
Their last game ended with a 10-1 defeat once morest the Vancouver Canucks.

Our thoughts are with this young boy who was attending his first Sharks game ever.
PS it will probably have been his last.
In short, nothing is going well for the Sharks, and let’s say that applies to all the players on the team.
And if there is one player who does not contribute in any way to helping the team get its head above water, it is the former Montreal Canadiens, Mike Hoffman.
The latter is having a disastrous start to the season, which coincides with the Sharks, when he only obtained one assist in nine games.
Mike Hoffman has 0 goals and 1 assist in 9 games this season.

The most attentive will have noticed that something is wrong given that Hoffman has only played nine games, while the Sharks have played ten.
This is because Hoffman was left out of the team’s last game.
What appeared to be a punishment for Hoffman ultimately turned out to be a reward as he didn’t have to play in his team’s 10-1 loss.
As for tonight, he might be left out once once more, as he skated as an extra yesterday at Sharks practice.
In short, in the end, we understand that currently, Mike Hoffman is not even a regular guaranteed to play every game on the worst team (by far) in the entire NHL.
We understand even better why the general manager of the Canadiens, Kent Hughes, wanted to get rid of him so much this summer.
He even went to the trouble of reacquiring Jeff Petry to send Hoffman to other places to give you an idea.
In short, Hoffman, aged 33, is in the final season of his three-year contract with an annual value of $4.5 million that he signed with the Habs in 2021.
Let’s just say that if he continues on his current bad streak, it’s hard to believe that a team will offer him a contract for next season.

A lot of
– Indeed.
I’m not sure where this narrative regarding Habs fans writing off Slafkovsky came from.
Saying he’s struggling and he needs to be put in a better situation for his development is not writing him off.
It’s the opposite. It’s recognizing there’s an issue and wanting to see it fixed.

I can confirm that some of Slafkovsky’s Slovakian brethren have texted each other & Slaf discussing the possibility of him joining them at the WJC. Obviously, they have no say in the matter but feel they would have a legit shot at medalling if all participated. Stay tuned.

– Bad news for the Senators.
Greig and Kastelic “won’t play any time soon.” Kastelic has a high ankle sprain. Not broken. #Sens

A handful of young, established NHL players haven’t been the same this season. @theTonyFerrari examines five in particular and wonders whether it’s time to worry or not:

It’s as if Ismaël Koné was training in Montreal in June with the CF Montreal kit…
