Highly anticipated by Apple fans, the Samsung ViewFinity S9 5K display is literally a clone of the Apple Studio Display 5K, sold at a premium price.
Unfortunately, and as expected, the price remains quite high, since Amazon offers it for pre-order (delivered around August 28) at 1 650,36€. It’s even more expensive than Apple’s monitor on the Refurb, sold 1489€ ! However, he has some advantages once morest the Cupertino model…
Samsung ViewFinity S9 5K : un clone d’Apple Studio Display
Presented at CES 2023 in Las Vegas, the Samsung ViewFinity S9 panel displays characteristics similar to that of Apple:
• a 27-inch 5K matte panel
• 99% DCI-P3 color space
• an interior delta E of 2
• integrated Color Calibration Engine color calibration system via a mobile App (on iPhone and Android),
• DisplayHDR600 certification
• maximum brightness of 600 nits (like the Studio Display).
An integrated SmartTV!
The screen also acts as a smart TV thanks to the integration of TizenOS, so it is autonomous and can be used without a Mac. It also integrates AirPlay, which allows it to be used wirelessly! And yes, even Apple does not offer such a feature!
Unlike the Apple model, the default foot is adjustable in height and inclination, with orientation in portrait mode for certain uses (print in particular).
Finally, like Apple, it includes a webcam, but removable and 4K ( once morest 1080p fixed at Apple) with magnetic attachment.
