The Samsung TQ55S90C delivers very good performance at a rather low price compared to Oled competitors on the market. The image quality is appreciable with infinite contrast and a panel equipped with an excellent anti-reflective filter. The brightness is certainly not as high as on the high-end S95C or TVs equipped with an Oled Meta panel, but it remains high in absolute terms. In addition, the television does very well in video games. However, we can level some criticisms at it, notably its imperfect colorimetry and its ergonomics which suffers from some shortcomings.
An alternative
The LG 55G3 — the 55-inch (140 cm) version of the LG 65G3 that we tested — is quite simply the best TV tested to date in our laboratory. It combines all the advantages of Oled technology (contrast, precision, responsiveness, viewing angles) with the high brightness of a Mini-Led model. Even the anti-reflective filter is even more efficient. If we look closely, we find minor flaws, such as a lower colorimetric coverage compared to QD-Oled televisions, a stand sold as an option or even a fairly standard remote control. The fact remains that this television is currently the best for all uses (films, series, video games, TV and sport).
