Only Apple bucks the trend

In second place is Apple, which has a market share of 18%. Not only did they ship 56.5 million units in the first quarter of this year, but they were also the only one among the top 5 mobile phone brands to show a year-on-year growth rate of 2.2%. The third to fifth places are all Chinese mobile phone manufacturers, namely Xiaomi, OPPO and vivo. Xiaomi shipped 39.9 million units in the first quarter of this year, with a market share of 12.7%, and shipments recorded a year-on-year 17.8%. % decline.

The three major Chinese brands fell sharply

OPPO and vivo, both under the BBK Group, accounted for 8.7% and 8.1% of the market, respectively. The shipments of the two brands were 27.4 million and 25.3 million, down 26.8% and 27.7% year-on-year. It is worth mentioning that the total market share of the top five mobile phone brands in the first quarter exceeded 70%, while the total shipments of other mobile phone brands were only 91.4 million units, accounting for only 29.1%. Overall mobile phone shipments were 314.1 million units, down 8.9% from 344.7 million units in the same period last year.
