A source close to Sobhi Kaber revealed the truth that has been circulating in the past few hours regarding the sale of the famous Sobhi Kaber grill restaurant in the Rawd Al-Farag area.
Sources confirmed to Masrawy that Sobhi Kaber sold his restaurant before Ramadan last March, and that the restaurant’s new owners had preferred not to announce the deal for some time in order not to reduce demand.
Sources said the Sobhi Kaber restaurant’s branches in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are not for sale and remain owned by their original owners, while denying that Kaber was under any pressure to sell its Cairo restaurant.
Recently, a controversy arose over the fate of the Subhi Kaber restaurant in the Rawd al-Faraj area, where a blog post was published on the restaurant’s page, which read: “Please note that this page belongs to the Kaber Agricultural Company and Animal Production, from Starting today, expect Hajj Sobhi Kaber in a video of the entire story soon after returning from the trip.
Some social media pioneers took to the restaurant’s Facebook page to find out what was going on, with one stalker asking the page’s administrator, saying, “Is this restaurant a stalker?” the page’s administrator responded. “The restaurant was sold due to force majeure. The restaurant currently has nothing to do with Sobhi. The remaining details will be announced soon, unfortunately.”
A few hours later, the restaurant’s page posted a second blog post that read: “Given the information circulating on some news sites and Facebook pages that the page has been hacked, this is completely untrue and the page belongs to Chef Sobhi Kaber is alone waiting for tomorrow’s video to clarify some facts.
