Some have a guardian angel who watches over them, it is now a certainty following the accident which occurred, on the night of Saturday to Sunday, around 1 am, rue de Méry (RN633) in Esneux.
A driver domiciled in Blegny was driving his car in the Esneux-Méry direction. For some reason, at the end of a long curve, it deviated from its trajectory. He crossed the roadway and hit a first safety rail on his left. He drove like this for a few meters. In the followingmath, still on the far left of the road, he hit a second safety rail.
This second safety rail literally entered the car through the grille before crossing the entire length of the passenger compartment and exiting through the rear window. The car eventually came to rest once morest a tree. The rail in the cockpit only passed a few centimeters from the inhabitant of Blegny who, on this one, was very lucky.
Slightly injured and shocked, the Blegnytois was taken care of by an ambulance and transported to a hospital in the Liège region.
It was the police officers of the SECOVA zone who observed the facts and carried out the usual duties, in particular with regard to driving under the influence.
