The Russian army combined air strikes and shelling of the British Ministry of Defense: Bombing the Donbass of Udon

The British Ministry of Defence said today that the Russian military’s air activity in the Donbas region of Ukraine remains high, with Russian aircraft using guided and non-guided weapons to attack the Donbas in combination with large-scale artillery. “Increased use of non-guided munitions has resulted in extensive damage to built-up areas of the Donbass, almost certainly causing extensive collateral damage and civilian casualties,” the MoD tweeted.

The tweet pointed out that as the Russian military’s operational focus has shifted to the Donbass, Russia’s slow advance of troops has strengthened tactical air support, combining air strikes and large-scale artillery attacks to exert firepower.

The governor of eastern Ukraine’s Luhansk region, Serhiy Gaidai, said today that Russian forces are blowing up bridges over the Seversky Donets River to prevent Ukraine from heading towards Sievierodonetsk. Provide military reinforcements and deliver aid to civilians.

Ukrainian troops continued to hold positions in Severodnetsk and pushed back Russian troops in many places, Ghede said on television.

The Russian Defense Ministry said today that Russian forces shot down a Ukrainian military transport plane carrying weapons and ammunition near the Black Sea port of Odessa.

Russian missiles also hit an artillery training center in the Sumy region of northeastern Ukraine, where foreign instructors work, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Another airstrike destroyed an outpost of “foreign mercenaries” in the Odessa region.
