The Russian agency Sputnik broadcasts an article against the “betrayal” of Alberto Fernández

An article from the Russian propaganda agency Sputnik accused the president Alberto Fernandez from “betrayal” once morest Vladimir Putin for the criticism launched by the Argentine president during his tour of Europe once morest the invasion of Ukraine.

“The level of betrayal of the Argentine president towards his Russian counterpart is beyond doubt”, supports the article published by Sputnik in its Spanish version, which bears the signature of Javier Benítez.

The text assures that Russia was “the great help of Argentina by supplying it with Sputnik V vaccines to combat the pandemic.” In this context, he questions that the president has recently met with German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, in addition to having promoted the expulsion of Russia from the Human Rights Council.

“The president of a country with 37.3% of the population living below the poverty line and where many millions do not have access to food, intends to sell food to Germany,” the article accuses.

And he adds: “On the other hand, Fernández offers gas from Vaca Muerta, which he defined as ‘the second unconventional gas reserve [eufemismo de fracking]’ most important in the world. In other words, it is going to offer shale gas to a country like Germany, which has supposedly signed certain commitments to the environment and the 2030 Agenda. As the phrase goes, The need has the face of a herectic”.

In the text entitled “The hypocrisy and betrayal of Argentine President Alberto Fernández to Putin has no limits”, the journalist questions some of the president’s messages in which he condemned the Russian invasion in Ukraine through his Twitter account. “Russia’s demilitarization and denazification mission in its neighboring country, which he has described as ‘immoral’ ‘aggression once morest Ukraine,’” the article accuses. And he adds: “In this way, it endorses the kyiv genocide in Donbas, and the Nazi battalions that executed it during the last eight years.”

Likewise, he attacks the President for having a “selective memory”, in relation to the help he received from the nation led by Vladimir Putin. And he questions: “for a few coins, whatever?”, About the possible deals that Argentina hopes to make with European countries, following Alberto Fernández’s trip to the old continent.

In the same article, a doctor in Political Sciences, named Bruno Lima Rocha Beaklini, believes that he cannot explain the way in which President Alberto Fernández acted. “I don’t understand those things. One thinks, Argentina was in ruin, it had no vaccines, and it was ‘hung’ by the IMF [Fondo Monetario Internacional]’ when Russia helped him. ‘The chancellery of [el presidente de Brasil, Jair] Bolsonaro, who is a disaster, behaved a little better [que Argentina]because he did everything possible not to condemn Russia,’ Beaklini opined, according to the article.

And he argues, regarding Fernández’s attitude towards his Russian counterpart: “It doesn’t make any sense. Possibly due to a renegotiation offer with the IMF from the European Union; It may be due to a proposal to purchase grains and primary products from Argentina”.
