The rush for Oasis concert tickets is huge, even Ticketmaster couldn’t handle it

As Origo wrote, the news that the former British rock band Oasis is reuniting after 15 years and going on tour has exploded as a light music sensation in recent days. The band was active from 1991 until 2009, the two founding members of the rock band were Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, but the brother and sister did not have a very good relationship with each other. Oasis last performed a decade and a half ago, but now they have announced that they are not only getting together, but In the summer of 2025, 14 performances will be held in cities in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The organizers designated two websites for ticket sales, Ticketmaster and Twitkets.

But when tickets went on sale this morning, the Ticketmaster site crashed under the amount of visitors.

According to the available information, hundreds of thousands of people tried to buy tickets for one of the performances of the British rock band at essentially the same time. however, the servers could not withstand the onslaught. Many disappointed fans voiced their displeasure on social media because the salespeople opened up the opportunity to buy tickets with an inadequate IT background.

The users they are also angrybecause according to them, due to the collapse, even those who, based on practical wisdom, did everything they could to see the band live next year were relegated to the background or may miss out on buying tickets. There was an American user who complained that he had been sitting in front of his computer since the early hours of the morning, European time, to buy a ticket, but due to the crash, he was unable to do so.

And another fan said that he was one of the first to almost complete the ticketing process, but due to overload, it ended up not being completed, and then he had to start all over again on the rarely or never available site.

According to Ticketmaster, their site was up and running again in the morning, and they also announced that they are channeling the influx of fans into a manageable IT channel with time-limited admission and a digital waiting list.

Regarding the ticket purchase the band also released a statementit is true, they did not react to the situation that developed in the morning, but asked the fans to get their tickets only using the official channels. All tickets sold on sites claiming to be resellers are considered invalid, as they are either fake or sold at an outrageous markup.
