Sheikh’s reply Owaida OthmanSecretary of the Fatwa of the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa, to the question of one of the callers regarding his sleep a lot during the day in the month of Ramadan, saying: Sleeping a lot does not invalidate the fast, and a person does not try to sleep while praying, then this is something and this is something.
The Secretary of Fatwa at the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa added, in statements to the Al-Dunya Bhair program, broadcast on Al-Hayat channel, that a person is active in performing other acts of worship, such as remembrance and prayer on time, and so on.
And the Secretary of the Fatwa at the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa continued, If a person sleeps most of the day, then his fast is valid, but to perform all the prayers on time, just as the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “There is no negligence in sleep, but negligence in vigilance.”
The Secretary of Fatwa at the Egyptian Dar al-Iftaa pointed out that character is a provision from God, and the sweetness of logic and beauty of speech is a provision from God.
