As part of the Covid crisis, Liège, like the other cities, received an envelope from the Federal government to help the population financially weakened by the restrictions or closures imposed. It was then the CPAS which was responsible for distributing this federal windfall, of just over 7.5 million for the Ardent City.
However, to date, while the accounts have been closed since last March, “only” five million have been used. The balance, i.e. nearly 2.5 million, is therefore distributed in the state coffers. “While the needs are there”, deplores the Liège PTB, through the voice of Antonio Gomez Garcia, who will challenge the Liège municipal college on Monday.
