Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, Erik Karlsson and Kevin Fiala are among 32 players selected to play in the 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Game at the FLA LIVE Arena in Sunrise, Fla. on February 4 (3pm ET/9pm CET).
Ovechkin (Washington Capitals) is in his eighth All-Star Game, the most common number among active NHL players. Karlson (San Jose Sharks) will be in his seventh game, while McDavid (Edmonton Oilers) has been selected for his sixth straight year and Crosby (Pittsburgh Penguins) is in his fifth game. The Swiss Fiala (Los Angeles Kings) is invited to the event for the first time.
Under the new voting format, the twelve remaining players (two fielders and one goaltender per division) will be selected by the Honda All-Star Fan Vote 2023 presented by Guaranteed Rate, which begins Thursday at 9pm (9pm BST) and runs through March 17th. January at midnight ET. In previous years, captains were chosen by the fans before Hockey Operations chose the remaining players (not limited to one player per team) and the fans chose a last player (Last Men In) for each team.

For the first time, the Fan Vote will feature a Twitter vote, starting January 12 at 12:01 PM ET (6:01 AM ET) and January 14 at 11:59 PM ET (15/1 5:59 AM ET). ) ends.
Each fan tweet must include the full hashtag “#NHLAllStarVote” followed by a player’s full name or Twitter handle. The mere mention of the last name does not count. All Twitter votes are combined with the online vote results.
The three remaining players will be announced on January 19th.
The All-Star Game consists of a three-game, 3-on-3 tournament featuring teams from each NHL division. Each of the four teams consists of nine field players and two goalkeepers.
The coach whose team has scored the most points in each division by January 11, the official halfway point of the NHL season, will be the All-Star head coach.
The NHL All-Stars Skills 2023 presented by DraftKings will take place on February 3rd (7pm ET/4/2 1am CET).
