This Saturday within the framework of the Chapel of the Jesuits, the Amicale Laïque of Carcassonne organizes a day of luthiers.

Summer, blessed period of festivals. If the Carcassonne festival acts as a locomotive for the Occitanie region, some more confidential ones have the right of citizenship in the bastide of the prefecture and deserve that we linger there.

Thus “The rope to play”, in the chapel of the Jesuits rue des Etudes, following several dates in this month of July, offers this Saturday, July 30 its first day of luthiers. Throughout the day, presentation, testing and sale of stringed instruments by luthiers and luthiers from Occitane: acoustic and electric guitars, basses, ukuleles, violins, cellos, violas da gamba… At 5 p.m., broadcast of short films on the same theme.

At 8:30 p.m., a concert by Jérémy Montana, guitarist, songwriter, performer of blues, rock, influenced by JJCale, Eric Clapton or Mark Knopfler… (adult entry 10 euros, free for children under 12). This young thirty-year-old fell into the pot of the guitar at the age of 7. After studies, apprenticeship, Jérémy who lives in the Montagne Noire in Caudebronde and where he composes, has already made a solid reputation. He teaches there as part of a music school he created. About fifteen titles to his credit to date that he will enjoy playing in this auditorium with its exceptional acoustics. It will also be on display on Wednesday August 24 for another concert at Lastours from 9 p.m. (entrance 6 euros).
