The Romanian Kovacs Istvan officiated the Gulf 25 opening match

Romanian referee Kovacs Stefan will direct the opening match of the Arab Gulf Cup, which will be held between Iraq and Oman, while a Qatari crew led by Salman Falahi will direct the second match between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

The Organizing Committee of the Arabian Gulf Cup, the Gulf Cup 25, announced the referees for the opening day matches of the tournament, which bring together the teams of Iraq and Oman, in the first meeting, and Saudi Arabia and Yemen in the second meeting.

The first match, which brings together the teams of Iraq and Oman, will be held at 7:00 pm Iraqi time, “8:00 UAE time”, Romanian referee Kovacs Estefan, and his compatriots Artin Mihai, first assistant referee, and Marnescu Vasily, referee as second assistant.

Emirati Adnan Al-Naqbi was appointed as a fourth referee, Moroccan Radwan Jaid as referee for VAR, his French assistant Jeremy Pagnar, and Bahraini Khalifa Al-Dosari as resident of the referees.

In the second meeting between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, which takes place at “9:45 Iraqi time”, “10:45 Emirates time”, the match will be run by a Qatari crew, led by Salman Falahi, the arena referee, assisted by Khaled Ayed, first assistant referee, and Zahi Al-Shammari as second assistant referee.

The Kuwaiti Abdullah Jamali was appointed as a fourth referee, and the Qatari Abdullah Al-Marri was appointed as a referee for the video assistant, assisted by the Emirati Ahmed Darwish, and the Iraqi Najah Al-Hamidah was appointed as a resident of the referees.
