In this year’s 17th Shaanxi Provincial Games, the roller skating event also entered the “big family” of the Provincial Games for the first time. In order to actively prepare for the current Provincial Games, the Xi’an Shooting and Archery Management Center made extensive use of social forces, and the Municipal Roller Skating Association was specifically responsible for the selection and preparation of players.
“This is the first time that the roller skating event has entered the Provincial Games. Speed roller skating includes men’s and women’s 500-meter sprint races, men’s and women’s 5000-meter knockout races, and men’s and women’s 3,000-meter relay races. After two days of competition, our city’s players won 3 golds, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes, namely: Li Sihan won the women’s 5000m speed roller skating knockout championship, Lu Jiaxuan won the men’s freestyle roller skating speed sprint championship, and Wang Luyao won the women’s freestyle roller skating speed Pile champion, Ma Xikai won the runner-up in the men’s freestyle roller skating speed sprint, Li Sihan, Xia Yixin, and Cheng Yinuo won the runner-up in the women’s 3000-meter speed roller skating relay, Zhang Lejiang, Liu Hanyu, Jia Yilong, Ma Jiaxuan won the men’s 3,000-meter speed roller skating relay third runner-up. Won the third place in the women’s 500-meter speed roller skating, and Chen Liuli won the third place in the women’s freestyle roller skating speed.
The 11-year-old Li Sihan won a total of 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in this competition. Among them, the gold medal in the women’s speed roller skating 5,000-meter knockout event was the first gold in the history of the roller skating event at the Provincial Games. During the race, Li Sihan rode to the top in the second half, leading the second place by more than a lap (200 meters per lap) when he hit the line. In an interview, Li Sihan said that he had thought regarding winning gold before the competition, “My results in the qualifying rounds last year were very good, so I was thinking regarding winning the championship, hoping to achieve more and better results in national competitions in the future. “Lu Jiaxuan, the gold medal winner of men’s freestyle roller skating speed, was regarded as the favorite of the provincial games because he won the national championship for primary and secondary school students. However, a few days before the competition, he suddenly suffered from thigh pain. “I was a little worried at the time, but it was fine following a day or two of rest. Although the training was delayed, I think I still have the strength to win the championship. In the end, I did it.” Lu Jiaxuan said. The 13-year-old Lu Jiaxuan started roller skating when he was 5 years old. Later, with the support of his family, he entered a club for more systematic training.
