Ras Al Khaimah: The Khorfaqan-Dafta Rak road has been closed due to rocks falling from the mountains during the rain, officials said. The rocks fell on the road between Dafta Bridge and Washa Square.
The authorities have taken steps to make the traffic passable in both directions as soon as possible. Rak-Sharjah Police advised motorists to use alternative roads and follow signs posted on the road. Officials also said that travel to these areas is possible using Aldaid and Maleeha roads. It rained widely in Ras Al Khaimah by midnight on Monday.
The road to Jebel Jais was also closed due to heavy rains. Expressing regret for the inconvenience to road users, the authorities said they have taken wartime measures to restore traffic flow.
