The head of the municipality Gundar Vaza informed that SIA “Tukuma auto” complains that the national roads are in bad condition and difficult to pass: “Since the routes are interconnected, there have been cases when the bus does not take children to school on time due to the bad road. We called on the parish managers to report such cases so that they can get involved faster and solve this issue.”
Discussing the Guest bus
Also, as explained by G. Važa, there are negotiations with the passenger carrier regarding Viesatas, from where only one flight runs to Tukums per day – following 15.00, and people who do not have a car cannot go home. “Four, five years ago, there was a bus, but the route was changed due to school transport. We have planned to talk regarding this problem with “Tukuma auto” in order to be able to open an earlier flight, but the question is whether there will be riders. There have been such situations when the bus is there, but there are no passengers, and the trip is closed.”
Planning a rest place near Āža hill
Negotiations with “Latvijas valsts mežiem”, in which Rimants Liepiņš and Martiņš Limanskis also participated, continue – regarding the territory of Melnezer, which is planned to be supplemented with new routes. And also, it is possible to receive LVM financing for setting up a rest area: “We are late with submitting the request, because they have to be submitted in September, but we were not told a final ‘no’, and therefore maybe there will be a rest area at Āža mountain.”
