The work of a firefighter is associated with a high risk of developing cancer.

Firefighters are much more likely to suffer from cancer than other dangerous professions. Scientists from Yale University came to this conclusion. The study was published in the journal Environmental Science & Technology.

It turned out that it is firefighting that leads to the accumulation of carcinogens in the body. Scientists analyzed the chemical composition of firefighting foam and found that it contains dangerous PFAS chemicals. They are the ones that cause serious health problems: from problems with the immune system to oncology.

According to the study, firefighters get sick and die from various types of cancer much more often than representatives of other professions. In most cases, colorectal cancer is detected.

Previously, we named 3 products that can be extremely dangerous to health.
