The only famous Hungarian figure skater is Yulia Shebeshtien A native of Yerevan, a former member of the USSR national team, Gurgen Vardanyan recently left the post of sports director of the Hungarian Figure Skating Federation. The Westerners were delighted at the occasion to kick the Russians.
It turned out that Polina Dzhumaniyazova, a girl from Russia, the granddaughter of the Hungarians, who several years ago received citizenship, came to the group. She skates better, so she went to international tournaments. Papp’s parents, instead of motivating their daughter to overtake a competitor, raised a high. By the way, Vivien did not move anywhere, they did not expect her anywhere.
Further more. The media ran into Yulia Shebeshtien. Say, the coach makes children skate with injuries, and as a punishment – to do exercises on the ice barefoot. It’s a well-known case, she got enough from the Russians, atu her! They wrote that at the European Championships there was only one Hungarian in the national team, the rest were Russians, they say, Vardanyan is dragging his own. In fact, these are athletes with Hungarian citizenship who have been living in the country for many years. Yes, they have Russian surnames, but who is to blame that they train harder than native Hungarians and achieve more?
– Everything that they wrote is sewn with white thread, not a single true word, and there is nothing to react to it. The president of the federation gave several interviews in which he clearly explained the position, but the parents of the useless skaters, through some journalists, tried to kindle and play the story with Russian athletes, Gurgen Vardanyan explained why he did not comment on the crazy accusations.
By the way, the mother of the young skater dispersed the storm. The boy is weak, but the lady has connections: she is the head of the marketing and communications department of the Hungarian bishop.
– How, according to the mother of a skater who cannot fulfill the minimum technical level, can one so skillfully replicate a lie? Two journalists wrote about it, the rest reprinted them. These two did not even deign to ask me at least once about this story, – Gurgen Norikovich laments.
He did not get involved in squabbles, he quit. Now looking at new proposals. And he, no doubt, will find a job. But Hungarian figure skating will slide back to where it has been for many years.
