Times are complicated for Bradley Wiggins. In 2012, the British cyclist had an exceptional year, winning Paris-Nice, the Critérium du Dauphiné, the Tour de France and the time trial gold medal at the London Olympics. Today, the 43-year-old former runner is on the verge of bankruptcy.
Indeed, according to information from Cycling Weekly, the liquidators of his company revealed that a debt of one million pounds sterling (or 1.14 million euros) had still not been paid. Wiggins Rights Limited, the company which managed much of Bradley Wiggins’ business during his career and which was the parent company of the defunct Wiggins team, went into liquidation in September 2020. The rights to the trademarks of his name , “Wiggins” and “Wiggo”, are on sale.
