The revived DeLorean brand will demonstrate the appearance of its electric car in August

The legendary film trilogy “Back to the Future” almost gave cultural immortality to the DeLorean DMC-12 sports car, which was produced in a limited edition in the early eighties of the last century. At the beginning of the last decade, the brand was revived, and this year DeLorean representatives declared about intentions to release an electric car of a new model.

Then, in mid-February, the silhouette of a new car with traditional gullwing doors was shown as a motivating image. This week DeLorean in his press release announced its intention to present a concept prototype of its electric car at an event in Pebble Beach, California, where the traditional art design competition takes place. With particular excitement, the developers report that they will demonstrate the car three days earlier than the previously scheduled date – not on August 21st, but on August 18th of this year.

At the same time, the name of the new car will be named, but for now, DeLorean has shown a fragment of the image of the novelty from the rear left wing. The silver body, nodding to the tradition of stainless steel panels, is combined with a dark-colored sloping roof, aerodynamic slots are visible in the rear window area. It is possible that the timing of the appearance of production cars will be announced only in August.
