At the beginning of April 2021, Alexa Bueno announced that she had withdrawn from the SEDENA. Despite having resigned from the Mexican Army, the youtuber expressed her admiration for the work done by the Armed forces.
The reason was that he did not want to be in a “toxic environment”, which he also explained in a video on his YouTube channel that has more than 237 thousand subscribers.
Without giving any explanation, the Secretary of National Defense deleted all videos Soldier Alexa Good following the youtuber processed his withdrawal.
The Army is not for everyone
More than a year following her departure from SEDENA, Alexa Bueno has published several videos in which she shares part of her experience in military life. In all the materials, she has described the Army as the best institution, but she has also been critical of the attitudes of some members of the Armed Forces.
He recently uploaded a video called “All the times I wanted to resign from the Army…”, in which he tells several anecdotes regarding his entry into military life, which was not easy.
Alexa Bueno entered at the age of 22; She spent two years as an office worker before participating in the content creation project as a YouTuber for the Mexican Army.
“When two years passed, I was regarding to request my discharge and it stopped because of the Good Soldier project.”
Like the rest of the troops, Alexa had to do her CACIR (for its acronym, Regional Individual Combat Training Center), which she did at Military Camp 37-B, located in Temamatla, Edomex, which is the house of the Special Forces.
The CACIR was the first time I said to myself: “I don’t have the faintest idea what the hell I’m doing here”.
“I have a bachelor’s degree, what the hell do I have to be doing here: falling asleep at 11, 12 at night because you have to bowl boots. Getting up at 4 in the morning, making beds, passing a thread so that the beds are straight… (…)
“Literally, you wake up, the first thing you do is get dressed, they take you out because you are going to go to breakfast and they send you running to breakfast. In my mind I was trying to have a good time, but in reality I was holding on… Every day my shadow and I repeated to each other: ‘one more day is one less day’.”
When he started target practice, he was assigned a German-made G3 rifle. “I had colleagues who put sanitary napkins inside the jacket on the shoulder, because with the G3, which I am telling you regarding, it is a weapon that has a lot of recoil, the pounding that it gives you when you release the bullet, there are people who have dislocated the man… There were situations in which I didn’t understand why he was there, I looked at myself and said: ‘Neta Alexa, mightn’t you have made more of an effort to look for another job?, but in the end I decided to pass on that”.
Although many times he thought to desert, he did not. “Everything told me what the hell are you doing here, but well, I decided to finish the CACIR, I have to finish it.”

The Soldier Alexa Good He also said that he has received multiple complaints from people who saw his videos in SEDENA, because he did not show the reality of what happens in the Mexican Army.
“The people who claim me, I hope they understand that I also went through a part of that. You don’t just live in the military educational system, you live anywhere. To give us a franchise, they ask that everything in the casino, which is the Army’s little store or cafeteria, be finished. To give us a franchise we have to release so much (money).
In this regard, he recommended that all people who decide to join the Army never get into debt with the military casino. “DOwing to the military casino is like owing to Coppel… Exactly! This is a piece of advice that I give them, it is that they do not get into debt with the casinos, guys, really do not do it, because suddenly they would sell 20 and return to pay in the fortnight and they already owe 200. Do not be overconfident”.
Parents have even complained regarding the fact that their children live in military educational establishments; some of the claims have become threats.
“Excuse me sir, but there was no way we were going to get that on the videos and I am really, really sorry. There was no way we might say this in the videos: ‘hey, to enter the military education system we leave you the requirements and, by the way, I remind you that if you’re a first-year cadet, it’s going to be terrible for you’… Obviously it was something What might I say, because I was not a cadet. I was a common soldier, I had to experience other things”.
Despite everything, Alexa Bueno pointed out that the abuses are committed by people who tarnish the name of the institution and reiterated that SEDENA is a “beautiful institution, it is a jewel.”
“The problem is all the people who seek to affect you, annoy you (…) The abuses happened to me not because of the institution but because of the people who tarnish the name of the institution.”
