Our dear VAR referee, keeping up with the drama like a soap opera director, decided to intervene and review Budkivskyi’s fall. After what felt like an eternity—as if they were reviewing the latest installment of a Harry Potter film—drama escalated. A scandalous penalty was awarded! One might argue that Budkivskyi falling over the invisible man should not earn him a penalty kick, but who are we to question the wisdom of VAR?
Second Half: The Plot Thickens
Now, let’s fast-forward to the second half. Oleksandr Yatsyk decided he was tired of waiting for more theatrics. He delivered an incredible long shot—an absolute peach of a goal that sent the fans into ecstasy and Left Bank defenders scrambling for cover. Apparently, the Left Bank decided to go fishing instead of defending, and the bait was quickly gobbled up!

With this victory, Zorya rises like a glorious phoenix to sixth place with 15 points, while the poor Left Bank remains parking their metaphorical bus in 14th place, holding onto just 8 points like a child with a favorite teddy bear. It’s a sad day for Left Bank fans, who must now endure more soul-searching and possibly pledge allegiance to an entirely different football club!

And as if that wasn’t enough, the 11th round of the UPL keeps rolling on! With matches already showcasing the occasional brilliance and profound absurdity, stay tuned for more unpredictability as Rukh drew against Odessa Chornomorets. Meanwhile, Polissya’s attempts to earn points against Kolos were about as fruitful as a chocolate teapot.

Luhansk Zorya won a scandalous victory over Left Bank in the match of the 11th round of the Ukrainian Premier League of the 2024/25 season.
The match ended with a score of 2:0. In the first half, the teams did not particularly create chances. Only in added time, Pylyp Budkivskyi had a hundred percent chance after a free kick, but he fell and could not hit the goal.
The VAR referee called the referee to review the episode with the fall and after a long review, a scandalous penalty was awarded. It was implemented by Budkivskyi himself.
At the beginning of the second half, Oleksandr Yatsyk doubled his team’s advantage with an incredible long shot. There were no more goals in the match.
