In light of the financial and social collapse that Lebanon is witnessing, the head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, said: “Some say that the number of tourists is beyond imagination this year as a sign of prosperity. Some forget that the other side is that the reserves in the central bank are declining every day as a result of the absence of basic reforms, and that the matter may become catastrophic at the moment the reserves are exhausted and we enter the unknown.”
Jumblatt added in a tweet through his official account on “Twitter” yesterday, Wednesday: “There is no escape from reform.”
