Call of Duty Modern Warfare III will be available on November 8 on Playstation, Xbox and PC. At La Voz we have been playing it for several days on an Xbox Series X console thanks to press codes provided by Activision.
It is known that shooters like Call of Duty or Battlefield are focused on their online multiplayer modes, but in the case of Call of Duty It has been doing immense work in developing its “story” for a single player.
This delivery is no exception. It’s cinematic. It is visually opulent. And it has the magic of gunplay from Call Of Duty. In other words, it is satisfaction guaranteed.
“The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III campaign is a direct continuation of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II narrative, and the stakes mightn’t be higher. The ultranationalist Vladimir Makarov has returned to the scene, extending his rule throughout the world,” is how the story presents.
And from the beginning it becomes intense and varied. There are, of course, linear missions. And there are new “open” missions. They are carried out in maps, in which freedom is absolute to meet the objective. And they can be replayed and have rewards.
Something bad? The AI at normal level is very accessible. We recommend going to the next level for a more challenging experience.
There are also three new aspects to the gameplay. And they work perfectly in those open modes.
- Parachute: The Parachute is a game changer, allowing you to jump safely from great heights and fly great distances. Follow the button prompt when jumping from a high point to activate the Parachute. When you are close to landing, the Operator will automatically cut the rope and you will return to the standing position, or you can cut the rope manually to force the landing.
- Elevator: Above! The Elevator helps you reach the highest points on the map. With this item, you can climb ropes that lead to key locations throughout the environment, or zip lines to move across long horizontal distances. Use your elevated or newly acquired position to escape from a problematic situation, shoot from afar, or, if you have the Parachute, reposition yourself away from your current location.
- Plate Carrier Upgrade Vest: At first, your operator can only equip one armor plate at a time, a reasonable defense in smaller battles but insufficient when the action gets frantic. Find a Plate Carrier Upgrade Vest to increase the number of armor plates you can equip at once. When you first find the vest, your carrying capacity will increase to two armor plates, and three when you find another one. Now you are prepared for everything.
The enemy alert level and mini-map add another layer of enhancement to Modern Warfare III’s campaign. It’s a Call of Duty, it’s a cult video game.
