Dulquer Salmaan says he is not interested in remake films. Dulquer said that he is interested in original content and that he is a stickler for it. The actor said that he was approached for the remake of Bangalore Days, but he turned it down. The actor was speaking in an interview given to News 18 Shoshak.
‘My wish is not to remake anything. I am not interested in remakes. Try to find original content. I have said no to many successful films following their release. Because they were all remakes. I am stubborn regarding it. We don’t want to remake anything,’ said Dulquer.
When the anchor mentioned regarding remaking Bangalore Days, Dulquer said all the best to her. “I was called for the remake of Bangalore Days. To do the same character. Why repeat the same character,’ said Dulquer.
Dulquer also talked regarding the circle of friends in Bollywood. Dulquer said that Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor are his friends.
‘Varun and I used to meet at round tables. He is fun to be with. So when I see him, I hold him close. He will tell you to sit next to me. Arjun is a good friend. They all have a friend circle in Juhu. I know them even before I became an actor. It also has a sauna. These are my friends in Bollywood,’ added Dulquer.
Dulquer’s new projects are King of Kotha and Netflix series Guns and Gulabs. Directed by Abhilash Joshi, King of Kotha will release on August 24. Guns and Gulabs will start streaming on Netflix from August 18.
The title look of Venky Atluri’s Lucky Bhaskar and Rana Daggubati’s Kanta were also released on Dulquer’s birthday.
